Atlas mountains and desert tour (8 days): Marrakech - Imilchil -
1st day: Arrival to Marrakech, transfer to your riad or hotel
2nd day: Marrakech - Beni Mellal
.....Departure from Marrakech to Demnate village that we cross to take the road to Azilal. In Tanant, we turn left to reach the waterfalls of Ouzoud. There we will walk on the path to the platform to admire the fall of 110 meters high crashing into an abyss. After lunch, then departure to Ait M'Hammed and descent to the valley of Ait Bougmez in the heart of the High Atlas, a stronghold of the tribe of the Ait Atta. We Arrive at Agouti, the first village of this ancient glacial valley, named "The Happy Valley", framed by mountains of 3000 and 4000 meters. We Continue to Tabant, El Had and Imelghas. After lunch, we will go to the beautifull village of Zaouia Ahanesal by Tizi n’Isli pass (2610 meters), and then we continue to Bin El Ouidane dam near Afourar village. In the afternoon, we arrive to Beni Mellal, the night will be in the hotel.
day: Beni Mellal - Imilchil
.....Departure from Beni Mellal to Imilchil village in the heart of the Middle Atlas. By El Had, Ben Cherro, Naour and the passes of Tizi IFAR andTizi Isly we descend to Imilchil and its two lakes, Tislit (the bride) and Isli (the groom), the legend says that these two lakes were born from the tears shed by two lovers, from tribes rivals who refused their marriage. Every year, a Moussem (Feast) perpetuates the memory of the couple. This festival is is an opportunity for girls of the Berbers tribes of Ait Haddidou meet their future husband. The night will be in an inn in Imilchil.
4th day: Imilchil -Merzouga
.....Departure from Imilchil Passing by the Rish small city and Ziz gorges, we arrive to Errachidia. Then we continue through the Ziz Valley of (to make stopovers along the valley to take pictures), we arrive to Erfoud where we visit of Marmar factory for the manufacture of fossil. After the visit we will go to Merzouga in the desert which is the starting point of any voyage intending the dunes of the Erg chebbi. We arrive before the sunset you can walk on the dunes to assist to take pictures of sunset. The night will be in hotel near the dunes.
5th day: Merzouga
.....Today we get to learn more about the life of the Nomads in our off-road excursion to the breathtaking Erg Chebbi where we will visit the Nomad families who migrate and live in tents, attend an African folkloric music/ dance performance in Khamlia village, and walk in a desert oasis where we learn about the irrigation system of the area. Late afternoon you will mount camels in the bivouac middle of the dunes, to pass night in a traditional Berber tent.
day: Merzouga - Todra gorges - Dades Gorge
.....You will return to your hotel with the camels for breakfast and shower. After breakfast we depart the desert to the dramatic Todra Gorges via Tinjdad and Tinghir Town, a walk at Todra Gorges along the river, but before we pause to relish the panoramic views of the old mud berber villages overlooking the valley. The Lunch will be in a restaurant under 600 feet high red cliff of the gorges where many of rock climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport. Later we continue to Boulemane Dades. Check in at an inn (family guest house).
day: Gorges du Todra - Ouarzazate.
.....After the visit of Dadès kasbahs and Gorges, we go to Ouarzazate via the road of the miles kasbahs towards the Valley of the Pinks (where you can see the products extract from the pinks), then to make a stopover in the palm plantation of Skoura (visit of AMRIDIL kasbah) then we continue to Ouarzazate, the night will be with the hotel in Ouarzazate (in this city you can visit the cine studios and Taourirt kasbah).
day: Ouarzazate - Marrakech
.....After breakfast, we go to Marrakesh, penetrating the High Atlas Mt at an elevation of 7269 feet, enjoying one of the most scenic drives in Morocco. But before, we visit Ait Ben Haddo Kasbah: site registered on the list of the World heritage of UNESCO since 1987 and where many films were turned like: Lawrence of Arabia, the mummy, Gladiator, Astérix…) Check in at your riad.
9th day: Marrakech: visit of the city
.....After breakfast, you leave Ouarzazate to Marrakech passing by Tizi N’tichka pass. In the afternoon, you will have City tour of Marrakech with an English speaking guide. You will visit the historic Menara: a magnificent pool surrounded by flower beds, which reflects the image of a beautiful Moorish edifice, the tour features several notorious monuments, including the mind relaxing Majorelle gardens and the Koutoubia Minaret (identical to the la Giralda tower in Sevilla, Spain), and the Saadian tombs, which represent Moorish architecture at its finest. The tombs, which include several sixteenth century mausoleums, lay undiscovered behind walls until 1917, this tour also will include a walk in the alley of the different part of the Souk-Market-.You may conclude your day with a drink at sunset, overlooking the bustling Jamaa El Fna square. The night will be at your Riad.
10th day: transfer to the airport
