4 days desert travel from Fez to Marrakech

Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Gorge of Ziz – Erfoud – Merzouga.
Today is the first day of “4 days desert travel from Fez to Marrakech “. We will head south toward the Sahara Desert. You will cross the mountains of the Middle Atlas and breathe the fresh air that comes from the cedar forests. You will also stop in the forest to take a moment with the monkeys of Barbay.

Day 2: Merzouga  (Camel ride & Gnawa village visit)
An opportunity today to learn more about the daily life of nomads during our 4×4 excursion around the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After crossing the black desert, you will visit the nomadic families who migrate and live in tents. Then we will arrive at the Khamlia Slave Village to attend an African folk dance show. You can also take a walk in the oasis of Merzouga to get an idea of ​​the Roman irrigation system “Khattarat”. In the evening, you will go by camel to the bivouac to spend the night under a traditional Berber tent and enjoy dinner around the fire with Berber music.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
The awakening is so early today to be able to attend the sunrise on the summits of the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast, leave for the Dades Gorge. The first stop will be at the old imperial city of Morocco “Rissani”. It is an economic center of the region and a site of many historical monuments of the Alaouite dynasty. You will have the opportunity to visit the lively local market and its historical monuments.

After, we will continue our travel from Fez toward the impressive canyons of Todra, known for their climbing. You will go for a walk under the gorges with high cliffs. After lunch, we head to the Dades Gorge via the Thousand Kasbahs road. You will visit the huge Kasbahs on both sides of the road. Some of these casbahs are old fortified houses that have been restored. Overnight accommodation will be in the Dades Valley.

Day 3: Gorges Dades – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou
