Day 1: Agadir – Marrakech
Our driver-guide Our driver will pick you up at your hotel. The Authentic Morocco Tour will start in Marrakech. When you arrived, you’ll have a guided visit to the red city. You will visit the historic Menara: a magnificent pool surrounded by flower beds, which reflects the image of a beautiful Moorish building, the circuit has several notorious monuments, including Majorelle Gardens and Koutoubia Minaret (identical to the tower of the Giralda in Seville, Spain) and the Saadian tombs, which represent Moorish architecture at its best.
The tombs, which include several mausoleums of the sixteenth century, were still unknown behind the walls until 1917. This tour will also include a walk in the alley of different parts of the souk. You can end your day with a drink at sunset, watching the lively Jamaa ElFna square. The night will be at your Riad.
Day 2 : Marrakech – Tizi N’Test – Taroudant.
Your private tour starts today in the direction of Taroudant via the Tizi N’test pass. As we approach the mountain, we will cross the gorges of Moulay Brahim. Then towards the valley of Asni, you will pass at the foot of the Toubkal mountain range, the highest point in North Africa. We will stop to visit the beautiful mosque of Tinmel built by Elmehdi Ibnou Toumert of the Almoravids dynasty (1040 – 1147). We will cross the pass of Tizi n-Test to descend into the plain of Souss. a forest as far as the eye can see of the argan tree. We will stop at panoramic viewpoints to take pictures. The journey continues to Taroudant through Ouled Berhil. The night will be in a typical riad.
Day 2: Taroudant – Ighrem – Tata.
Taroudant is the capital of the Saadian dynasty. Also, this city is described as a smaller version of the red city of Marrakech. We will take a guided tour of its 6 km ramparts, and its souks specializing in crafts such as terracotta, wrought iron, pottery, copper, brass, and jewelry. Lunch will be in a local restaurant. Afterward, we will leave for Tata where we will spend the night in an authentic stone and adobe house.
Day 3: Tata – Tafraoute
The adventure tour continues today, we will leave for Tafraoute through the beautiful landscapes of the Anti-Atlas mountains. The latter sift their fortresses of attics. The lunch will be in a restaurant of Berber culinary specialties. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Tafraoute where we will make a small tour of the city which is distinguished by the freshness delivered by its almond trees. The night will be in a guest house.
Day 4: Tafraoute – Tiznit – Guelmime
Today we will visit the valley of Amelne and the gorges of Ait Mansour. Afterward, we continue our journey to the handicraft city of Tiznit. The latter is known for its jewelry souks. Lunch will be in a local restaurant. Then we continue to the city of Guelmim which is considered the gateway to the great Sahara in Morocco. This city was a caravan center on the Timboukotu road, but today it is an economic center of trade and exchange between the sedentary and nomadic populations of the desert. It also has the largest weekly camel souk in Morocco. Dinner and accommodation will be at the Riad in the city center.
Day 5: Guelmime – Agadir
After breakfast, we will leave for the city of Agadir. We stop at the nature reserve of Souss Massa Draa. This protected ecological space is home to many migratory birds, some of which are very rare (flamingos and herons, teals and ospreys …).
Then, the journey continues to Agadir. An opportunity to discover its beautiful beach and the famous Kasbah “Agadir Oufala”. After lunch, we head to Essaouira. Dinner and accommodation will be in a Riad in the old medina.
Day 6: Agadir – Essaouira – Agadir
This day will be devoted to visiting the fishing port of Essaouira. This site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for several years. We will also visit the Jewish quarter “El Mellah”, the Skala, and the picturesque souks of the city. Lunch will be in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will return back to Agadir. The night will be in your hotel. It’s the end day of your Authentic Morocco Tour.
