From Agadir 13 days tour to Imperial cities chefchaouen and desert

Day 1: Agadir – Essaouira
Today, you will make the departure of your “From Agadir 13 days tour” toward Essaouira, you will stop at Sidi Kaouki, a wild beach known by the surfers all year. Afterward, you will continue to Essaouira, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit the Jewish quarter El Mellah, the Skala, and the picturesque souks of the city. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will have free time to relax and unwind at the beach of this wonderful city. The night will be in a Riad.

Day 2: Essaouira – Casablanca – Rabat.
The first day of our private tour in Morocco starts from Marrakech to Casablanca. We will depart around 8 am. Upon arrival in Casablanca, you will visit the Hassan 2 mosque (the 3rd largest in the world), the Sacred Heart church built in 1930. The church looks like a Gothic cathedral and was used as a conference and exhibition center, the Mahkama building of the Pasha in the Habous district, then the beach of Casablanca. Then you head to Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. After lunch, you will discover the city of Rabat.

The city is located on the Atlantic coast. It is the political and administrative capital of Morocco. It was designed during the French protectorate in the early 20th century and embodies a distinctive architectural and decorative style characteristic of contemporary Morocco. You will visit the city with a local guide starting from the royal palace, then the necropolis of Chellah, visiting the Hassan Tower and the mausoleum of Mohamed V. Finally, you will head to your hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Meknes – Volubilis – Fes.
Your “From Agadir 13 days tour”  continues in the direction of Meknes, to discover its old Medina. This is the ancient Imperial City and Ismaili capital which had its golden age in the 17th century, under the reign of King Moulay Ismail. It is famous for its 40 km long wall. A local guide will make you discover the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismaïl, the Granaries, the Lehdim Square and the most beautiful Bab Mansour Gate, Dar El-Ma, the royal stables, and the Jewish quarter…Finally, you will continue towards the spiritual city of Fes. Dinner and overnight in a Riad.

Day 4: Fes “city tour
After breakfast, we begin to explore the oldest cultural and spiritual city of Morocco, walking through its alleys and small streets. We will visit the Jewish headquarters, the first mullah ever built in Morocco, built in the 16th century, and the gate of the royal palace. We will also visit the famous Qaraouine University, the oldest in North Africa, the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. Lunch will be at a local restaurant, then you will experience a magnificent panoramic view of the entire medina of Fez.

Day 5: Fes – Chefchaouen
Your From Agadir 13 days tour continues today. You will cross the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen in the North. The afternoon will be devoted to the discovery of the pretty city of Chefchaouen, where everything is theatrically opposed to the mountain. You will explore its blue-colored houses, its cobbled streets, and the mountain in the background. This blue city offers a quiet and very photogenic setting with its souks and small streets. The night will be in a Riad.

Day 6: Chefchaouen – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt:
Today, you will leave Chefchaouen to go to Ifrane, the small mountain village nicknamed “Moroccan Switzerland”. During this stage, you will have a first glimpse of the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas Mountains. At the top of these mountains, you will make a short stop in the small Berber village of Azrou, located in the heart of a famous cedar forest. You will have the opportunity to see the Barbary Monkeys. Afterward, you will continue your journey along the mountainous hills of the Atlas to arrive in Midelt. The night will be in a hotel or riad.

Day 7: Midelt – Errachidia – Erfoud – Desert Merzouga.
Wake up early in the morning, your “From Agadir 13 days tour” continues towards the desert of Merzouga by crossing the fabulous pass of Tiz Ntalghamt to the Ziz Valley. The valley offers impressive views of the High Atlas Plateau. As we approach Errachidia, the landscape gradually changes to give way to the desert. Lunch in Errachidia will be in a local restaurant where you will appreciate the Berber hospitality. You will continue through the lush Ziz Valley where you will stop to enjoy the magnificent views. Arrival in Merzouga will be at the end of the afternoon. The night will be at the hotel at the foot of the dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Day 8: Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
Today we learn more about the life of the Nomads on our off-road excursion to the beautiful Erg Chebbi, where we will visit nomadic families who migrate and live in tents, attend a dance performance of African folk music in the village of Khamlia, and take a walk. In an oasis in the desert where we discover the irrigation system of the region. At the end of the afternoon, you will ride camels (camel ride) to spend the night in a bivouac under a traditional Berber tent.

Day 9: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorges
The alarm clock today will be early to attend the sunrise and enjoy the silence of the desert. After breakfast and shower, your tour continues to the Todra Gorges in Tinghir. You will discover the paths of the High Atlas and Berber villages. You will enjoy the panoramic views. If the weather allows it, you will make a walk in one of the most beautiful palm groves of Morocco sheltering adobe villages and uninhabited kasbahs.

Lunch will be under the majestic Todra Canyons where several stuntmen practice their sport. In the afternoon, you will continue your journey towards the Dades Gorges by crossing the road of the thousand kasbahs. Dinner and night will be in a local guest house or hotel.

Day 10 : Dades Gorges – Agdez – Zagora – Dunes Chegaga
You will leave early in the direction of the village of Agdz by crossing the Tizi n’Tinififft pass located at 1660m of altitude. After arriving in Agdz for the coffee break, you will cross the Draa Valley admiring the incredible palm plantations and kasbahs. Lunch will be in Zagora in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the underground village Tamegroute where you will admire the ancient Zaouia, the ancient Koranic Library, the potters, and the underground Kasbah. Then, you will continue towards the Oasis of Tagounite passing by Ait Isfoul. Arriving at M’hamid. You will take the desert road to the Dunes of Chegaga to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and night in a bivouac.

Day 11 : Chegaga – Foum Zguit – Taznakhte – Ouarzazate
You will wake up early today to enjoy the sunrise on the dunes of Chegaga. After breakfast, you will leave for Foum Zguit and cross nomadic tent camps on the way. You will also visit the dry lake of Iriqui and the desert plateau of Akassia. Lunch will be in an oasis. Afterwards, we return to Ouarzazate where you will spend the night in a Riad. Day 12: Ouarzazate – Fint Oasis – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech.
Today you will visit the Fint Oasis and Berber families on the way. Afterward, you will take the road to the village of Ait Benhaddou, the famous Kasbah, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Many movies were shot at this Kasbah like the Mummy, Gladiator…You will visit the Kasbah with a local guide and you will have lunch in a traditional restaurant. Finally, you will continue to Marrakech via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass while admiring the High Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival in the red city of Marrakech, night in a Riad.

Day 13: Marrakech – Agadir
Today will be devoted to visiting Marrakech. You will explore Menara, the minaret of Koutoubia (the twin tower of Giralda in Seville, Spain). You will also visit the Saadian tombs which are composed of splendid mausoleums built in the 16th century, the majestic gardens. After lunch, we will explore the souk near the famous Jamaa Efna Square. You will also have the opportunity to explore this square by yourself. Finally, we head to Agadir.
